Description: This position will help establish a new department within Square Enix Europe. Responsibilities will include design and execution of quality assurance test matrices, acting as a liaison between third-party companies and internal departments, recommending and purchasing hardware for testing, and crisis management. Other duties will include internal server development and management, entry level database management, and advising on general technical matters.
The applicants must be ready to relocate to London, England.
Qualifications:
* At least three years of software quality assurance and/or ISP support experience.
* Extensive knowledge of, and experience with, PC hardware and software.
* A firm grasp of networking basics with a high level of troubleshooting skills.
* Must be experienced with MS Windows 98/2000/XP operating systems.
* Working knowledge of Linux and Unix server operating systems. · Must be experienced with online games.
* Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. · Ability to work both individually and within a team.
* Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
* Knowledge of Access or MySQL a plus.
* Experience in the game industry a plus.
* Japanese language skills highly desired.
